Finally managed to get an appointment with my new dentist. I thought I had managed to find the only honest dentist in the area, but was I wrong!
Don't know if it was the watch, or he just felt extra greedy...but $450 for an hour of his time for a basic cleaning seems way over the top!
I guess I'm going to have to find a new clinic (or stop wearing the Rolex).

I agree that you can’t save on your teeth, because it’s hellish pain and inconvenience when you have a mess with your teeth.

During a routine visit, your dentist can discover a wide range of dental problems that will be easier to treat (and cheaper) sooner rather than later. Depending on your location and a variety of other factors, a routine dental checkup can cost you anywhere from $0 to $550. If you keep within such price limits, everything is normal. Don't skimp on your teeth. I had implants done at ***** 2 years ago and spent $3k. But if you figure it out, it's pretty cheap, no matter how strange it sounds.
