I know this thread is a bit old, but I’m reviving it because this is a key question. In most commercial buildings, FD30 is enough for bedrooms or small offices where escape time is short. FD60 is usually needed for stairwells, corridors that protect escape routes, or where fire needs to be contained longer to allow safe exit. Do you know which specific doors in your building are being reviewed? That usually settles the rating. | |
